“How do you record movement, especially dance? How does the body remember? And how do we deal with the inadequacy of body memory, the capacity and lifetime of which are limited? When you visit a dance performance, you notice how dancers remember — and how this remembrance is inextricably linked to the space they dance in. In this piece, not the stage, but rather the unfolded map delimits the space inside which the dancer, in this case the artist herself, moves around. The paper serves as a canvas for the video projection, in the course of which the palindrome ‘Animi Limina’ gets completed en passant.” – Patrizia Meinert on ‘Animi Limina’
